Eileen M. O’Connor has been handling Plaintiff’s personal injury cases since her graduation from law school in 2006.She joined O’Connor Law Group, LLC with her brother and her father in 2010. She has tried multiple cases to jury verdict, including cases involving motor vehicle collisions, premises liability, railroad negligence, police misconduct, and medical negligence. She has secured substantial settlements in wrongful death, medical malpractice, automobile, and nursing home litigation cases.
Prior to joining the firm, Eileen worked for Ambrose & Cushing, P.C. As an associate, Eileen handled all types of personal injury matters; including, medical negligence and nursing home neglect, construction negligence and premises liability, products liability, automobile collisions, and wrongful death matters.
While in law school, Eileen externed for Honorable Judge James Flannery, trial judge for the Circuit Court of Cook County. Additionally, she worked as a law clerk at Hofeld & Schafner from 2003 – 2006.
In addition to her legal employment, Eileen is extremely active in the legal community. She was selected to serve as the Chair of the Chicago Bar Association Tort Litigation Committee in 2010-2011 and 2012-2013. She served as Vice-Chair of the Committee in 2009-2010.
She was also selected to serve on the Chicago Bar Association Judicial Evaluation Committee which interviews and investigates all judicial candidates running for vacancies in Cook County.
She handles many probono litigation matters, including, for example, representing a criminal juvenile defendant in an aggravated assault case and representing a 5-year-old little boy who sustained burns to over 85% of his body against an uninsured defendant. She is extremely passionate about her work and believes in her practice.
Ms. O’Connor has authored and presented MCLE seminars, specifically in the areas of tort law and Medicare related issues.She is an active member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association (ITLA).
